Modders have brought Undead Nightmare to Red Dead Redemption 2, and you should not miss out on it.
As was the case with the Mexico RDR 2 expansion, PC modders have struck again: Thanks to a dedicated group of talented fans, you can now experience Undead Nightmare in Red Dead Redemption 2... if you're on PC. Sorry, console players... your cries pierce our souls. At least, you can always go back to Red Dead Redemption 1, because that sh*t still holds up. Not kidding. That, or you cross your fingers that the Red Dead Redemption Remaster rumors are actually true.
How to Play Undead Nightmare in Red Dead Redemption 2
It's easy: You head on over to Nexus Mods and download Undead Towns. Settlements and villages will be transformed, and the entire game gets a post-apocalyptic feel, while Undead Blackwater turns the largest town into your only safe zone, with Undead Nightmare Camps adding some makeshift forts here and there. If you want to go full-Halloween, you can download Rampage Trainer as well, which gives the game a holiday-themed makeover on top of everything else.
For everybody still waiting for the official Undead Nightmare... well, there is no word yet. Currently, Rockstar is busy with the GTA Trilogy Remaster (which just had its graphics leaked), the GTA 5 Enhanced & Expanded version, as well as GTA 6, so we don't see them revisiting Red Dead Redemption anytime soon. Still, there are persistent rumors about a RDR remaster, so maybe it's already in the works and just kept under wraps.
I wouldn't hold my breath, and seriously check out some of the impressive Nexus Mods. Plus, Rockstar is known to remove mods, once they actually do release remaster or remakes, so it's still worth checking it out, before it's gone. In any case, modding the game is free and legal, so why not take advantage of it, and get more mileage out of one of the all-time greatest games.
