Halo Infinite is a pretty beefy game, chock-a-block full of great maps, bolstered by weekly challenges, and solidified by an excellent selection of weapons. At the center of the game are its incentives, the reason to return to a multiplayer that shows no sign of slowing down. Season 2 might still be a month away, and co-op may have been delayed again, but there really isn't any reason to complain.

It is the aforementioned weekly challenges where we will center our focus today. More specifically, the idea of a Killing Spree in Halo Infinite, a returning medal and a method of completing various challenges and events. This might seem like a pretty straight forward concept, but in Halo Infinite it is a bit different to what you're used to. That's what we're here to explain.

Let's talk about Halo Infinite's challenges once more, particularly after a week that was oversaturated with Killing Spree-related tasks. We're going to simultaneously try to keep this guide short-and-sweet, and also detailed. That means that we'll first establish what a Killing Spree is, what the medals are, and the best ways to achieve all of this. Let's dive in!

What Is A Killing Spree In Halo Infinite?

A Killing Spree is a medal that is awarded in Halo Infinite when you manage to kill five enemies without dying. In terms of the Weekly Challenges, this may have some kind of modifier attached. For example, it may only apply if you use a specific weapon, or perhaps when you play a particular game mode.

This particular medal type multiplies, starting at five kills and ending with the "Demon" medal that is awarded for killing 40 enemies without dying. In addition, if you end another player's killing spree you will be rewarded with a medal called "Killjoy". Cool, right?

How To Get A Killing Spree

We would recommend playing a particularly defensive game if you want to achieve a Killing Spree, and especially if you want to multiply those medals. You need to use patience and, also importantly, use things like the Gravity Hammer and explosives to take out multiple players at once.

By defensive play, we don't mean camping. Instead, we mean that you should stick to a small area and defend that territory, making sure to keep your eye on your radar and utilizing weapons that have a fast time-to-kill. You need to play defensively, and we would recommend utilizing areas of a map that are also a bit quieter than the others. Remain fast, though, as you don't want people to be able to easily snipe you.

How To Complete The Distinct Killing Spree

A Distinct Killing Spree simply requires you to get a regular Killing Spree twice. That means that you need to get a regular Killing Spree - so kill five players without dying - and then die and get another regular Killing Spree immediately afterwards. That might sound easy, but you will find that it is actually extremely hard and a real pain in the backside when trying to finish all the weekly challenges.
