With each new version in Honkai Star Rail, HoYoverse releases either temporary events or permanent new game modes for players to mess around with. Recently, the Pure Fiction event has been added to the permanent list of new modes.

Honkai Star Rail: Top 3 Best Free To Play Teams For Pure Fiction
The new permanent Pure Fiction game mode consists of four stages as of right now, including many different enemies to deal with in a set number of turns. Additionally, you can add new effects, called Cacophony, to your team in order to start the upcoming fight with a little advantage! Choose these buffs according to the team you built!
If you want to succeed and claim your Stellar Jades as fast as possible, how about you try out one of the following free to play team comps?
1. Team Comp: The Follow-Up Queens
The name speaks for itself: We want follow-up attacks! This team comp is especially great if you plan on playing in the autoplay mode, since there is basically no set rotation you have to be careful about!
One of the main reason this team is playable right now, is thanks to the recent release of Xueyi! She is an absolute monster if you build her the right way, and will be capable of dealing incredible damage, especially for being “just” a 4-Star.
Next to her, all other characters in this comp are playing their part as well. March, for example, is by far not the best unit anymore, however, her shield is still pretty powerful and can block tons of damage. You can make her your designated tank.
Herta is a great pick in the entire Pure Fiction event just because she deals AoE Ice damage. There are a bunch of Ice weak enemies in all the four stages, so you better start building your Herta right now! Tingyun should be obvious: she buffs, A LOT. You should make sure, that she preferably buffs Xueyi, since she is the main DPS in this comp!

2. Team Comp: A Dance Of Fire & Ice
The second team comp is meant for stages, where the enemies are especially weak to Fire and Ice. You will love this comp if you enjoy hearing “Kuru Kuru Kururin!” for five minutes straight!
This team focuses on buffing your main DPS, being Herta, a lot! Your goal is to trigger Herta's passive as often as somehow possible, in order to get rid of the enemy's shield in no time. Asta is essential for this comp as well, since her Weakness Break is really powerful, which means she can single-handedly take care of the Fire weak opponents. Make sure to take the “Excitation” buff in the beginning!
3. Team Comp: Back To The Basics
The “back to the basics” comp is also incredibly easy to build and works best against enemies that are weak against Physical and Lightning damage!
Let's show the Trailblazer some love, shall we? Their Physical form is actually super useful in the Pure Fiction game mode, because of their huge AoE damage! In general, this team is really AoE heavy with Serval as sub DPS. Natasha will keep your units alive with ease and Tingyun … well, I guess you know the deal by now, she will buff the sh*t out of your carry units!
Which of these teams do you like best? My personal favorite is the follow-up team. I just love how satisfying it feels to take my hands off my keyboard, while the never ending chain of follow-up attacks kills every single enemy!
