In Honkai Star Rail, 4-Star characters are usually not very highly valued. They just don't do enough damage and don't look as cool as 5-Star ones. However, the upcoming patch 1.6 may feature one of the most badass puppets you will ever meet! Clear the stage for Xueyi!

Honkai Star Rail Xueyi Build: Best Light Cones & Team Comp
Do you remember what I said about Xueyi in the beginning, about her being a puppet? Actually, that’s a pretty interesting story, but I'll break it down for you: Xueyi is one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission. From the four main responsibilities, being detention, interrogation, incarceration, and punishment, Xueyi is in charge of the detention part! She hunts down criminals with no mercy left in her little body.

Xueyi Build
To make your Xueyi at least as strong as your 5-Star carries, we need to give her the right Relic sets! You should aim to give her a completed 4-piece set, alongside another 2-piece one. If there is no other option, you can give her three 2-piece sets instead.
Since Xueyi is a Destruction character, who relies on her follow-up attacks, you want to build her as damage heavy as possible! For Quantum type units, there are two good option right now:
Relic Set Combination #1
Use this set, if you focus on Xueyi's Quantum DMG output:
- 4-piece: Genius of Brilliant Stars
- 2-piece: Inert Salsotto
Relic Set Combination #2
- 4-piece: Ashblazing Grand Duke
- 2-piece: Kingdom of Banditry

Xueyi's Best Stats
The right (sub)stats are just as important as the right said! You should aim for the following ones:
- Body: ATK% / Crit DMG
- Boots: SPD / ATK%
- Planar Sphere: Quantum DMG / ATK %
- Link Rope: ATK% / Break Effect
- Overall Prio: ATK% → SPD → Crit DMG / Crit RATE
Normally, Break Effect is one of her best stats, however, she gains a lot of it through her Eidolons and Traces! You can decide for yourself, if that is enough, or if you want to add more with your Relics!
Xueyi Light Cones
As Xueyi is not a 5-star, she unfortunately does not have a signature weapon. Let's see which of the existing Light Cones suits her best:
1. Nowhere to Run
How fitting is this Light Cone's name for someone like Xueyi?! Next to that, Nowhere to Run provides Xueyi with every stat she could ever wish for, especially a really high ATK% multiplier! A super cheap and effective weapon for the coolest puppet in town!
Nowhere to Run has the following effect:
- Increases the wearer's ATK by 24%. Whenever the wearer defeats an enemy, they restore HP equal to 12% of their ATK. (S1)
If you happen to get this Light Cone already, you can skip this next part, since this is probably Xueyi's best choice!
2. Something Irreplaceable
Clara's signature Light Cone is pretty much an all-rounder for every Destruction unit. Due to being a 5-Star weapon, it has higher base stats then Nowhere to Run for example. The effect, however, is pretty comparable to the one above and after all, getting this Light Cone is much harden than the 4-Star alternative!
Something Irreplaceable has the following effect:
- Increases the wearer's ATK by 24%. When the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, it immediately restores HP equal to 8% of the wearer's ATK. At the same time, the wearer's DMG increases by 24% until the end of their next turn. This effect cannot stack and can only trigger 1 time per turn. (S1)
Onto the last bit: a good team for Xueyi!
Xueyi Team Comp
Only a few of you would probably build an entire team around a 4-Star carry, but with Xueyi it could actually work! Or how about a double DPS team?
Quantum girls, assemble!
Ahhh yes, another mono element team! I just love doing them. In this case, Xueyi and Qingque work pretty good as double DPS duo. Silver Wolf is an absolute must-have in this comp, and Fu Xuan can be swapped out for a healer or another Preservation character. Would you give this team a try?
