Next to Luocha, the second half of the version 1.1 of Honkai Star Rail brought us another brand-new character! The elegant Foxian Yukong will be a great addition to many player's teams, but only if you build her the right way!
Yukong is one of the newest characters in Honkai Star Rail! She is the Helm Master of the Xianzhou Alliance's Sky-Faring Commission and one of the Xianzhou Luofu's Six Charioteers. When she was younger, she spent most of her time exploring the airspace above the Xianzhou Luofu.
The Expectations for Yukong have been very high ever since her teaser got released, and she really seems to be an excellent support, but only if you put some effort into her build.
But what is the right way? …
Honkai Star Rail: Yukong – Best Build & Team Comps
Yukong just got released recently on June 28 during the second phase of version 1.1! She is a 4-Star Imaginary character, who follows the path of The Harmony. Yukong's kit is mainly focused around buffing her allies' ATK and DMG in general.
If you don't have Tingyun, Yukong could be a great alternative, since their position within the team is basically the same.
Yukong Build: Best Light Cones & Relics
All the Light Cones for Harmony characters are quite good, so you can choose freely between whatever weapon you have at your disposal. However, some of them fit Yukong exceptional well, and you should absolutely consider raising one of them, if you plan on playing Yukong.
5-Star Light Cones
Unfortunately, there is only one 5-Star Light Cone for Harmony characters right now. But luckily, it is one of the best weapons in the entire game, and it also fits our elegant Foxian lady pretty well!
But the Battle Isn't Over
Bronya's signature Light Cone “But the Battle Isn't Over” is just so strong and provides Yukong with all the stats she could ever wish for. Just a pretty expensive allrounder if you ask me!
If you do not happen to pull said weapon from the Light Cones banners, you can buy it in the Starlight Exchange shop for 600 Undying Starlight.
4-Star Light Cones
Now let's take a look at the more affordable Light Cone options for Yukong! Since she is a support character, a 4-Star weapon is more than enough to show off her full potential.
The only weapon you should avoid using on her, is “Planetary Rendezvous”, because there are just not enough Imaginary characters in the game right now in order to use its passive. However, this may change once Dan Heng IL has had his grad debut!
Dance! Dance! Dance!
Dance! Dance! Dance! has one of the most straight forward effects ever, but that is just making it even easier to use! Giving SPD to your team, is probably one of the most valuable stats in order to win a battle even quicker.
Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
This thing has a longer effect description than the entire Star Rail lore! Well, even if that's a bit of an exaggeration, it's still quite a long text to read. Fortunately, the effect is very easy to understand, you just have to know how to play around it correctly! Just pay attention to which buff the wearer applied and Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds is one of the best 4-Star Light Cones.
However, Light Cones are just one part of an entire build, and even more important are the character's Relics. Let's take a loot at them next!
Yukong's Best Relics
Yukong has three fantastic 4-piece sets which she can use. Just use what you already have available anyway! If you want to build yourself a budget Yukong, you can even combine these three sets into two 2-pieces. Let's take a look at the first option!
#1 Option
4- piece: Musketeer of Wild Wheat2- piece: Sprightly Vonwacq
This build gives your Yukong some extra ATK and SPD!
#2 Option
4-piece: Wastelander's Breathing Mask2- piece: Sprightly Vonwacq
Choose this set, if you want your Yukong to deal some extra DMG!
#3 Option
4-piece: Thief of Shooting Meteor2-piece: Sprightly Vonwacq
If you struggle to break the enemy's Imaginary weakness, consider using this build instead!
Luocha's Best Team Comp
Since Yukong is a dedicated buffer, she does basically fit into every single team! However, there are some units, she synergizes best with.
If you have Yukong, there is a good chance you got her, while pulling for Luocha, so why not combine both of them? If you do not have Gepard, you can swap him out for the Fire Trailblazer for example, which is a much more affordable option to most players.
As I mentioned earlier, you can treat Yukong just like an Imaginary Tingyun, especially if you are in need of another DMG type!
