An industry insider is claiming that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will get a remake, and it should be releasing next year.
We actually first heard about the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake way back in 2021, but now the leaks seem a bit more substantive, and we have a release window. Before you get too excited, it's not coming out in 2023 (unlike all those MGS titles coming to Steam), but it's also not painfully far away.
- If you still haven't checked out the most recent Metal Gear Solid game , it's pretty damn cheap these days.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Coming Next Year
According to insider Andy Robinson, a Metal Gear Solid remake is coming in 2024, and the current plan is to reveal the game during the "E3 Window" this summer. Who knows if there even will be an E3 this year with publishers like Ubisoft, SEGA and Tencent pulling out, but that's another conversation.
Here is exactly what Robinson wrote:
MGS3 remake is now a 2024 title and there's still talk of MGS re-releases of some kind. E3 window was their marketing plan, last I heard. https://t.co/Euaw3iEdrN

If the game really is planned for release next year then we'll no doubt be hearing more about Metal Gear Solid 3 soon. Until then, all we can do is enjoy the spate of great remakes that are coming this year (we were particularly impressed by the Resident Evil 4 remake).
Are you hyped for an MGS 3 remake? Or would you rather they focused all efforts on Metal Gear Solid 6?
This is the only game that truly needs a remake:
