Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater might just be the most popular Metal Gear Solid game. Personally, I always loved MGS 2 more, though I know a lot of people feel a way about that. Still, from the mechanics, to the soundtrack, the graphics (at the time), the original boss-fights and the emotional story... yeah, I can see how people argue for MGS 3. Either way, it's an all-time great game, and you know the deal with those, these days: Remake them. Remake them all.

Now a rumor came our way via VGC, which suggests that Konami is working on a Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake:

It wasn't clear who is helming the remake, and there were rumors that Bluepoint was working on it. After all, it is now known, that the dev behind the Demon's Soul remake was acquired by Sony and is working on remaking another Sony classic. Tom Henderson disputes the rumors that Bluepoint is working on MGS 3, which is great, because it leaves the door open for them to be working on Bloodborne. The consensus now is that the MGS 3 remake is being handled by Virtous, who ported Dark Souls to the Switch.

In his podcast, Tom Henderson claims to have known about the Metal Gear Solid remake for about a year, and it is also suggested that Konami is working on remaking other Metal Gear Solid games as well. To back this further, Solid Snake voice-actor, David Hayter, also hinted at some Metal Gear Solid remakes back in April of this year.

All in all, this is much less of a rumor, as it is confirmed. Besides the Metal Gear Solid project, Konami seems to also be working on Silent Hill, and a brand new Castlevania game that is aiming to reboot the franchise.
