The Mortuary Assistant is a horror game that ranks up there as one of the most disturbing games ever.
So... Silent Hill is already too much for me, even without the remake. I'm gonna admit that right here, right now. In fact, Resident Evil is already kind of pushing it in terms of what type of horror I can stomach, and don't even get me started with Five Nights at Freddy's. So, with that in mind, this newest horror-genre entry, The Mortuary Assistant, is definitely not something I will be playing, because it makes all of these other games look cute.
The Mortuary Assistant: Horror Done Right
The game is developed by DarkStone Digital, and you play as a morgue assistant, that's called in for an unexpected night shift? Sounds familiar? Probably, because that sounds a lot like Five Nights at Freddy's. But, while Five Nights at Freddy's has unrealistic animatronic animals scaring the crap out of you, the Mortuary Assistant goes psychological with it, and the creatures here are terrifying, because it's a kind of 'almost out of sight, did I see something in the darkness there'-type of situation.
So, you're this guy whose job it is to dress up and blam dead bodies, and you're doing it in a morgue where the dead are coming after you... nope, that's a definite nope for me, but if you're the type that likes suffering in the dark as you're gaming, then... this probably will be just the game for you. The game is available on Steam right now, and there is no word on whether this will come to consoles or not.
