We got Kingdom Hearts for PC – we got Kingdom Hearts for the Switch. But now it is time to get something entirely new!

During a birthday event, Square Enix today unveiled a new main installment in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Kingdom Hearts 4 can already be seen in a first, visually impressive trailer including gameplay scenes. The Japanese developer and publisher Square Enix describes the story as "Lost Master Arc".

Kingdom Hearts 4 Gameplay Trailer Revealed

We're hyped already. And without further ado… here is the trailer. Take a look at this crisp graphic.

Why is this looking so awesome? Well, Kingdom Hearts 4 will be developed with Unreal Engine 5. Awesome! But wait – there's even more to know.

Kingdom Hearts Union x Dark Road Release Date

Yip. Kingdom Hearts Union x Dark Road will be available for free on iOS and Android in August 2022. And we get a brand new Kingdom Hearts mobile game. Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link is entering closed beta for iOS and Android, slated to launch in certain regions in 2022.

Kingdom Hearts 4 Release Date

At the end of the trailer, it just says "Magic in the Making". We don't know the exact release date yet. But we are sure, that some leaks will come in over the following weeks. If so, we'll keep you up to date on that.

It is also not known for which consoles the action role-playing game will appear. However, an implementation for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is almost certain whether the last gen will also be supplied, which can be strongly doubted, at least with regard to the optics. If they continue to push graphics to the limit, we won't see Kingdom Hearts 4 for last gen consoles.
