It's been known for a while that Kingdom Hearts will be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch. Square Enix announced this back in the fall of 2021, but when this would happen has been kept a secret.

One thing we know is that Square Enix likes to take their time when it comes to Kingdom Hearts – we're totally not salty about the long wait for Kingdom Hearts 3... no not at all. So, even though we knew the game would be released sometime soon for the Switch, we didn't know what Square Enix understood as 'soon'.

Which Kingdom Hearts Games Will Be Available on the Nintendo Switch?

If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan, then you're in luck, because there will be a boatload of titles made available for your gaming pleasure by Square Enix. These are all the titles you'll be able to purchase for the Nintendo Switch – RIP Wallet.

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5
  • Kingdom Hearts 2.8
  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • Its accompanying Re Mind DLC

How Much Will Kingdom Hearts Cost on the Nintendo Switch?

You'll be able to purchase the games individually or choose to buy the whole bundle called the Integrum Masterpiece which is being priced at $89.99. If you know you'll want all of the games mentioned above, then you can also pre-order it and receive a 20% discount.

It might sound like a lot of cash, but these are some of the best games to have come out in the last 20 years and many fans will be paying this much for the mere nostalgia factor that Kingdom Hearts holds. Look how much people paid for the 'remastered' version of Grand Theft Auto!

When Will Kingdom Hearts Be Released on the Nintendo Switch?

So, we've been droning on and on about which games you'll be able to pick up and how much they'll cost, but we've forgotten to mention the most important part of it all! The release date! Well, you'll be able to pick up the games on February 10, 2022.

One little hiccup has got some fans pretty upset surrounding the games though and that's the fact that the series won't be able to be played on the platform. Instead, Square Enix is releasing the franchise in the form of Cloud versions.

This means that players will have to be connected to the internet to access the games and play them – for someone like me who is going through a move and has had to live without internet for the last 2 weeks that's a no-go.

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel, because Square Enix has also since stated that they haven't completely ruled out the idea of natively porting the franchise to Switch further down the road.

So, while you wait for Kingdom Hearts to release, why don't you watch some anime and check out the upcoming My Hero Academia Battle Royale that Bandai Namco is working on?
