When you're talking about the best games of all time, Naughty Dog certainly have a case to make for a few of their games being in at least the top 100. We can all agree there are a few things they do better than almost anyone else in the industry. So why would anyone want to leave? Well, Bruce Straley hasn't spoken about why he chose to leave yet, but he has announced his new studio. Will this new team compete with Naughty Dog? Or, are they doing something else entirely?

Ex-Naughty Dog Devs Lead New Studio: Wildflower

As you can see from their newly opened website, a new game studio called Wildflower is being by led by Bruce Straley, formerly of Naughty Dog. He worked in a senior role on both the Last of Us and Uncharted, and with the new company he's working to make "good stuff with good people":

As the opening message on their website reports, they're basically making indie games:

We’re making ‘small-ish,’ creatively-charged, uniquely-stylized games that explore the possibilities of our medium. And we’re building a small, open-hearted team of creators that want to improve their skills and still lead a good life outside of work.

Now this is all incredibly new, so we really have no idea yet how long we'll need to wait to see what this studio can produce. Based on that statement we expect it to be smaller-scale titles, and not Game of the Year contenders, but we'll update you as soon as we hear more.
