It has been a tough time for Metal Gear Solid in recent years. Since the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, an amazing but controversial game, we only got Metal Gear Survive, which is nothing less but a crime against humanity.
Recently though, there has been exciting news: Konami are working on a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, according to many credible leaks. And if your pants weren't already wet enough, let me hit you with another bombshell: a new leak suggests, that original creator Hideo Kojima is going to be involved in the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake!
If you live under a rock or somehow missed the exciting news of a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, then stop snoozing and check out our coverage on the topic:

Is Hideo Kojima Involved In The Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake?
Yes... kind of. Hideo Kojima is supposed to be involved in the project as a sort of consultor. Listen, I'm sorry, but I have to be the party pooper for a bit and lower your expectations. First of all, this intel comes from a leak, more accurately from a tweet by "Video Game data analyst" Millie Amand. So you should take this with a grain of salt, as usual, even if she is a pretty credible source. But what she says is also not the most exciting thing that could have come out of an announcement like this...
Kojima is not working on any Metal Gear projectHayakawa understands the history/business of the franchise and believes the game will sell better with Kojima attached to project in some capacityKojima is only involved as ambassador or as consultant(Agreed by intermediary)

The way she starts the tweet with "Kojima is not working on any Metal Gear project"... god damn, how quickly a heart can be broken. But also the wording of Kojima's potential involvement in the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, "as ambassador or as consultant" doesn't promise much. That could mean anything and nothing and considering the relationship between Konami and Kojima, it's probably more the latter than the former.
Also Amand makes clear that if this is true, it would basically just be a ploy by Konami to get some money out of Metal Gear nerds like yours truly, who would literally eat a shoe to get another game in the series from Kojima. Still... he might actually be a bit more active in the development than this suggests. But the way it looks right now, it seems like Hideo Kojima will only be superficially involved in the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake and not actually have much to do with it... *sad smiley face*
