Lethal Company is a crazy co-op horror game that became very popular when streamers started picking it up. While the game came out on Steam in October 2023, console gamers are wondering whether Lethal Company will ever come to Xbox or PS5.
Lethal Company was released in Early Access on Steam on October 24, 2023. The game is still in development, but thanks to a lot of streamers, already incredibly successful. Although Lethal Company is a PC-exclusive at the moment, many console gamers are wondering if the game will ever come to Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 . Here is everything we know on that.
Will Lethal Company Come To Consoles?
At the moment, there are no official announcements from the developer about a console release. But that doesn't mean there's no hope. Remember, this game is only a few months old and still in development. Anything can happen at this point.
The great success that Lethal Company had shortly after launch is a good sign for console players, though. While it is certainly not guaranteed yet, the demand is definitely there and a console version for Xbox and PlayStation at some point in the future would make perfect sense.
We played the game ourselves and even tried out the controller support, therefore we can confirm that Lethal Company is certainly console friendly. Playing with a controller works great for this type of game and felt quite natural. The only real issue we could see in a console port is the proximity chat, but even that should be doable on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
It is not uncommon for popular indie titles to be released for consoles later. Just take Stardew Valley or the card horror game Inscryption as an example. Inscryption was released on Steam in 2021, was a huge success and then came to PlayStation, Xbox and even Nintendo Switch two years later in April 2023.
So if Lethal Company is ever released on console, it will probably be a while, as reworking a game for console requires a lot of work.
As soon as the developer Zeekerss announces something regarding console availability, we will keep you up to date, as always, on EarlyGame.
