Lies of P: The Beginner's Guide
Here you'll discover a wealth of information on all things you need to know to get into Lies of P, along with several tips and tricks.
Will There Be Multiplayer?
Unfortunately, the sole focus of Lies of P lies within the Single Player experience. The director Choi Ji-Won shared some thoughts about this topic:
Since it is our first Souls-like game, we didn't consider adding a Multiplayer or Online Co-op feature since we didn't want to take away the joy and experience of the player to challenge themselves in Lies of P. However, if given the chance and if the opportunity comes knocking on our door, we will consider adding a multiplayer or online co-op feature.
While we won't have multiplayer for now, the developers are interested in it. If the community shows interest, they might work on adding it in the future.
How Does The Lie System Works?
The Lies System is a new feature unique to Lies of P. Your story progression is tightly interwoven with Pinocchio being honest (or not).
Depending on the quest and situation, your answers can alter the whole storyline for you. Which will result in venturing in a complete different road you would have normally taken.
In this article, you'll find everything you need to know about the Lie System.
How To Use The Legions Arms?
Pinocchio's Legion Arm is a prosthetic arm that provides special moves that can be used against hostile characters and enemies. And by consuming some MP you'll utilize the skills that are unique to each Legions Arm.
For example: If you use the "Deux Ex Machina" arm, you'll deploy timed mines which cause a massive AoE explosion. And through modifying this arm, the range of the explosion will increase.
If your MP ever deplete completely, you won't be able to use the Legion Arm anymore. In order to replenish your MP, you either need to rest at a Stargazer or use specific items to restore the Legion Arm.
The P-Organ System
With the P-Organ System, you'll enhance Pinocchio's effectiveness in combat and provide further customization for different playstyles. By socking different abilities from the categories Attack, Survival, Ability and Item Type, you'll boost your stats and gain various effects.
With each level, you'll be able to unlock new and more unique abilities. This way, you're able to create your own and personal build for Pinocchio.
You'll find more information to the P-Organ topic in this article, where we give you an in-depth look at it!
In-Depth Look At The Weapon Customization
All weapons in Lies of P are divided into two components, the Blades and the Handles. As you venture through the city, you'll come across different weapons that can be dismantled and combined in order to craft a completely new weapon.
For example, if you find the weapon "Red Tear" and "Freezing Heart" you'll already get singular instruments, but through dismantling them, you'll get the Blade and the Handle and can combine each together to create something completely new.
With this possibility for weapon combinations, you have endless options. And with each variation the weapon's name, stats, attack behavior and Fable Arts will wary.
Fable Arts Explained
If you have played Elden Ring beforehand, you can compare the Fable Arts to Ashes of War. Those are weapons arts that are bound to a weapon type.
The weapon skills consist of both offensive and defensive moves, each having its own distinct animation and effects when used. In order to use your Fable Arts, you need a certain amount of Fable Slots, that can be replenished by consuming items or by unlocking passive skills.
That's all for the time, and I hope the Guide gave you a little more insight of how Lies of P works!
