If you're playing with friends, and especially if you're playing with randos, being able to communicate a location quickly and effortlessly is super important. You don't want to get lost in all the mess of the frantic action in Lost Ark, do you? Of course not, you want to keep track of everything. That's why you need to know how to ping!
How To Ping in Lost Ark
There are actually three different kinds of pings you can do in Lost Ark, all of which work differently and are triggered by different controls. In order to be best prepared, you should know all three different kinds of ping. That's why we will show you all the different ways you can ping in Lost Ark!
How To Ping In-Game
The first way to ping in Lost Ark is to ping in-game, meaning that you can point your mouse to any point on your screen and leave a temporary marker there. In order to do this, you need to hold the "CTRL" key and use the left mouse button to ping. This is obviously very useful when you're in the middle of the action, maybe you're in one of the many dungeons in Lost Ark and you need to point to something quickly without having to interrupt your gameplay. Quick and easy, just how I like it.
How To Ping On The Mini-Map
This one is easy: to ping on your mini-map, open the map by pressing TAB and then again ping with CTRL+LMB, just like in the method above. This is about as quick as the first method, but you have more ground that you can cover with your pings. Let's say you go on a treasure hunt on Monte Island, and you want to mark a good loot spot on the other side of the map for your mates – this is how you do that!
How To Ping On The World Map
If the mini-map is not enough for you, and you want to mark a place that is somewhere in the big world of Lost Ark, then you can do that with this method. To ping on the world map in Lost Ark, you have to open the map by pressing M and then hold Shift and click the right mouse button to place a marker. This method is especially useful, as soon as you have the ability to sail and want to either check out some of the amazing islands in the game or want to go out to a great farm spot to earn tons of gold or silver. Just mark the spot on the map, and you know where you will be going!
