New Halo Infinite Story Trailer Released
After developer 343 Industries presented the multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite in detail in the past few weeks, we now finally get news about the campaign of the upcoming Xbox shooter. The new trailer shows off new gameplay and cutscenes as well as the Matser Chief's ne AI companion. But we don't want to bore you to death, so here is the full Halo Infinite story trailer:
We get to see quite a lot in the trailer. It was about time, though, more than a year after we got to see the first trailer. Back then the trailer caused a big outcry in the community and even caused the devs to reconsider their release plans and postpone the game by almost one year. Yep, that's right, Halo Infinite was delayed for a whole year and as the new trailer shows, it was for the best.
So what can we expect from the Halo Infinite campaign? The Master Chief will be the protagonist in Halo Infinite again, unlike in part 5. Human characters look far less comic-like than in the first trailer and are depicted with a lot of detail. Also the landscape looks more believable, and effects like shadows also show significant improvements. All in all, the new trailer looks really nice and shows a lot of improvements compared to the first one.
- You want to know if Halo Infinite will get a Battle Royle mode?
Not much is known about the Halo Infinite campaign's plot yet, but apparently it's about no less than the fight against the Banished and the fate of humanity. The Master Chief will also get access to a new AI companion called The Weapon, that is somehow connected to Cortana – so of course the story will also elaborate on what happened to the Chief's old AI companion. According to the trailer, Halo Infinite's campaign will be the largest in the series so far.
The Master Chief apparently is on his way to an old ring world called Halo Zeta. The game is supposed to have some open-world elements. How much freedom and meaningful side quests there actually are for the super soldier to explore can't really be estimated at the moment.
Halo Infinite will be released on December 8, 2021 for Windows PC (Microsoft Store, Steam) as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The multiplayer will be released for free in a free-to-play model, presumably with cosmetic extras available for purchase. Some content, especially the co-op mode and The Forge editor, will follow later – probably in early 2022.
