There are quite a few Stat Wars games in the works right now, but this one might be at the top of the list of games to play in the future. At least, once you hear who will be working on this game, you'll be sold and wanting to go and spend some money.

Lucasfilm Games just announced their collaboration with Skydance New Media to bring a new adventure to players all around the world. Sure, we had Lego Star Wars, we got the Mandalorian, but this is going to blow us away.

Amy Hening On Board for New Star Wars Game

For anyone who enjoys adventure and action games, Amy Hening will be a name you should know. She is an award-winning writer and director whose credits include series like Legacy of Kain, Jak and Daxter and Uncharted. Not too shabby for a resume, eh?

Well, she sits at the helm of Skydance New Media and will be involved in making this brand new Star Wars game.

I’ve often described how seeing Star Wars in 1977 essentially rewired my 12-year-old brain, shaping my creative life and future indelibly. I’m elated to be working with Lucasfilm Games again to tell interactive stories in this galaxy that I love.

This isn't the first big name that Skydance New Media is working with. In late 2021 the studio also announced their partnership with Marvel Entertainment to bring a whole new story with the superheroes we love to players.

What Type of Game Will The New Star Wars Be?

This is going to be a narrative-driven action-adventure game. That sounds perfect for a Star Wars game, right? So much action, lightsabres and laser guns, who wouldn't want there to be some heartfelt story surrounding all of that, right?

Throughout the years, Lucasfilm has elaborated further on the Star Wars universe, so having a narrative driven game in such a world is the perfect fit. So let's hope that Skydance New Media can impress fans with this new Star Wars Game.
