Crazy skins and wacky events shouldn't be a surprise for Call of Duty players anymore. Do you remember the 80s Action Heroes event? That was awesome. I mean, who hasn't always wanted to play Rambo or John McClane in a shooter?

But not only these two Action Heroes have already made it to Warzone, no, also Leatherface, Billy, the doll from Saw, and Ghostface from Scream are already available as operator skins. Oh, and not to forget, we already got two Attack on Titan bundles and Snoop Dogg.

But now it's about to get even more wacky, because with the Monsterverse crossover, Godzilla and King Kong are coming to Caldera. But how exactly does Operation Monarch work? We'll explain it to you.

Here is the official trailer for Operation Monarch:

How does Operation Monarch Work?

We already learned a lot about Operation Monarch in our interview with Ted Timmins and J.J. Williams, but here we have summarized the most important details about Operation Monarch for you again.

Operation Monarch will be a playlist available for two weeks exactly from May 11, at 10:00 PT (13:00 ET / 18:00 BST / 19:00 CEST), until May 25. The mode is a mix of Resurgence and Power Grab and is played as Quads. There are a total of 60 players in a lobby, so 15 squads. The last squad wins – just like in the normal Battle Royale mode.

However, that's it for "normal BR". To increase your chances of victory, your goal is to obtain a S.C.R.E.A.M. device that will allow you to control the attacks of the two Titans.

How To Get A S.C.R.E.A.M. Device?

There are two ways to obtain such a device: Win one of the two Titan Frenzy events or collect enough Monarch Intel. This is where the Power Grab rules come into play, which we already know from the 80s Action Hero event. Causing damage to the Titans and collecting Monarch Intel fills a Power Grab bar.

During a match, there will be a so-called Titan Frenzy event twice. During this event, the Titans will attack everything and everyone around them, and all squads will try to do as much damage as possible to King Kong and Godzilla. Once the Titan Frenzy event ends, the squad that did the most damage will be rewarded with a S.C.R.E.A.M. device. Here, it might be worth having a some good LMGs in your squad.

Monarch Intel, on the other hand, can be collected all the time, you get it as loot or through kills. Another way to get Monarch Intel is to attack the two Titans, which is possible at any time. They will then drop Intel for you, which gives you an additional small speed boost, but they will also attack you. Once you have collected a total of 100 Monarch Intel, you will also be rewarded with a S.C.R.E.A.M. device. Monarch Intel can also unlock killstreaks or loadout drops.

How Do The Attacks Of Godzilla & Kong Work?

The two titans have very different but equally deadly attacks. Godzilla shoots a heat ray that directly kills all players in his path, you are not downed but instantly dead. The beam also leaves a burning trail, similar to a Molotov, but with significantly more damage. The places where Godzilla attacks are marked on the minimap with a red circle. If you can control his attack, it's especially good for cutting off part of the island and taking an enemy squad out of the game for the time being.

King Kong, on the other hand, has two attacks: a ground pound that stuns all players in his radius and destroys their armor, and he throws a boulder that kills players instantly if they are within his impact radius. Kong doesn't intentionally try to trample you, but anyone who gets too close or even touches him will be quickly downed, so keep your distance. If you control his attack, you can deal a lot of damage in a large area.

If you have a S.C.R.E.A.M. device, you can choose between the attacks of Godzilla and Kong and then control where the respective Titan should attack. To prevent the attacks from being spammed, you cannot use multiple S.C.R.E.A.M. devices at the same time or one right after the other.

Weapon & Vehicle Drops

To support you against Godzilla and Kong in Operation Monarch, planes will keep appearing to drop supplies for you. These drops include heavy weapons, but also vehicles that can cause damage. Among them are the anti-air jeeps, for example.

All Operation Monarch Rewards

As with every event, there are some exclusive rewards for Operation Monarch. Here is a list of all the rewards and what you need to do to get them.
