So, apparently, the next Xbox console got leaked. Are we excited about that or do we not care at all because it's Xbox?
Can you believe that it's been two years since the Xbox Series X|S got released? Probably, because the hype around the next-gen Xbox wasn't nearly as much as over the next-gen PlayStation.
Still, Microsoft isn't giving up on chasing after Sony. Game Pass and Bethesda acquisition aside, they're apparently working on a new console! No, this is probably not the next next-gen console (also, when can we stop calling the current-gen next-gen?), but rather an improved version of the Xbox Series X|S (if it even is a console, but more on that in a second). Think Xbox One X or PS4 Pro.
Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Here is the leak:

And that's it. That's the leak. The placement is the important part here as it's beneath previous Xbox console code names, which makes us think that it's hardware, rather than something else. It's by no means a confirmation, but it's something to keep in mind.
Tero Alhonen is a pretty reliant Microsoft leaker, but so is every other leaker in the Twitter leaking sphere at this point, so you will have to take this with your usual grains of salt.
It would make sense for Microsoft to be working on an updated version of the Xbox Series X|S, though the release – if it even is a console – will be sometime in the future... and not the near future. Some people still haven't gotten their Xbox Series X's, so imagine them releasing an improved Xbox Series X now... doesn't really make a lot of sense.
Microsoft has of course not made any statements in regard to Xbox Keystone, but once they do, we will update this article.
