According to the news from the earnings call with investors, there don’t seem to be any plans for a Nintendo Switch 2 anytime soon. According to Nintendo, the Switch is still in the middle phase of its life cycle.

Therefore, if you were thinking of getting a successor of the popular Nintendo Switch in the coming year or so seems highly unlikely. According to sources, this console is merely in the planning stages, with no concrete information yet.
Why Isn’t Nintendo Bringing out a Next-Gen Console?
In the Investors meeting, it was explained that the Nintendo Switch OLED was just released – and is an upgrade from the original Nintendo Switch. Therefore, Nintendo does not see a need to create a successor of the Nintendo Switch just yet, as it is on it’s way to becoming the number one selling Nintendo console of all time.

When was the Nintendo Switch OLED released?
The Nintendo Switch OLED was just released on October 8, 2021. The console was upgraded to have a bigger display, as well as slightly larger dimensions, making it a bit heavier than its predecessor.
