Mei is taking a forced break from Overwatch 2 due to some massive bugs that were breaking the game.
Due to a bug, Blizzard has removed another hero from Overwatch 2. After getting rid of Bastion and Torbjörn due to game-breaking bugs, Mei is the next one to follow. She is a damage hero who can create an ice wall that blocks off the enemy team. However, some players used this ability differently than the developers intended, so they put her on ice for a while.

Mei Got Removed From Overwatch 2
Currently, Overwatch 2 players don't need to worry about getting frozen. Due to a nasty glitch, some players used Mei's ice wall ability to get to places where they had no business being.
By raising her ice wall inside a building, Mei could glitch through the ceiling and get underneath the map. While Kiriko can use Swift Step to teleport to Mei, she could damage the enemies from underneath the map without being seen by her opponents. This glitch was breaking many games, giving bitchy players the chance to ruin a whole match. Fortunately, Blizzard has temporarily removed Mei from the game now.
