Of course, the meta and new updates always affect the pick rate of the heroes. And we play two Damage Heroes and two Support Heroes, while there is only one Tank Hero per team. So it makes sense that there is no Tank among the most picked heroes. But enough talking about it. Here are the most popular heroes in Overwatch 2 for the year 2023, according to Overbuff.

Interestingly enough, the Top 10 only consists of Support and Damage Heroes, with one exception - Reinhardt at number 9, with a pick rate of 3.64%. The most popular Damage Hero is Genji with an 4.68% pick rate. Moira, Hanzo, Soldier: 76 and Widowmaker complete the Top 10. At the bottom of the list, we got all the latest heroes: Lifeweaver (0.75%), Illari (0.45%) and last (but definitely not least) it's Mauga with an extremely low 0.04% pick rate.
