It's getting snowy again in Overwatch 2 with Winter Wonderland, the annual winter event. I guess some heroes will freeze a bit. Fortunately, we can dive into the winter world from our warm place in front of our screen and experience all the magic. We'll show you what we know so far about the event and what you can expect.
Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 2023: New Event Pass
After the new Season 8 was released on December 5, from December 19 to January 16, 2024, the Winter Wonderland event is coming our way. New Legendary skins and a newly introduced Winter Fair event pass that features both a free track and a paid track awaits us.
Winter Wonderland: Skins, Cosmetics, Game Modes
In Overwatch 2, players can anticipate the return of beloved game modes and the introduction of new Legendary skins for heroes such as Sojourn, Mercy, Tracer, Baptiste, Illari and Cassidy. Winter Wonderland 2023 is set to bring back four Arcade game modes: Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Snowball Deathmatch, Yeti Hunter, and Freeze Flash Elimination.

Moreover, Blizzard is treating us to the Winter Fair Event Pass this year, offering players the freedom to pick their preferred skin. This time around, you can earn a legendary skin for free. For 500 Overwatch Coins (earnable in-game or purchasable with real money, equivalent to 5 bucks), you can upgrade the pass and unlock more rewards.
The system works like this: for every game mode you play, including ranked, you earn tickets. These tickets can then be used to buy the legendary skins. And, of course, with the Premium version, you get an extra dose of tickets.
