Every release of a new Pokémon game is a huge event, and that was also the case for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet , the new mainline titles in the long-running series. It's also true, that pretty much every new Pokémon release is a mess, at least since this generation of games. S&V are maybe the messiest of them all, though, as the game launched in an incredibly poor and disappointing state, causing players to post thousands of clips of hilarious bugs and glitches.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Is One Of The Most Broken Releases In 2022

It's actually crazy what kind of stuff we had to witness since the release of the game. The biggest issue is probably the game's inexcusable performance. It looks like a game from 2000 and runs even worse. Frame drops, huge load times and animation issues everywhere. It's simply hideous, and hopefully Game Freak will release a performance patch soon.

That stuff is genuinely annoying and disappointing. The disastrous state of S&V also lead to one of the funniest gaming related trends on Twitter in a long time. Our timelines were full of the most hilarious clips of all kinds of wacky nonsense. Some are just funny, like players falling through the floor, or riding on invisible bikes. Others are just legit horrifying...

Some of this stuff is hilarious, but it is sad that one of the biggest games of the year releases in such a broken state. As usual, we ask you not to flame or harass any developers; they know, and are definitely frustrated about this, probably even more so than we are.

It's clear that they didn't have enough time during development, which seems to be a trend right now.

Like we said, let's hope they fix this mess soon.
