Mafia II: Definitive Edition (PS4)

Mafia II was originally released for PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in 2010, but because it was so good, the developer, 2K, decided to publish a remastered version in 2020, Mafia II: Definite Edition.

Although this remake was criticized for its weak gameplay mechanics, most of the Mafia II success came from its fascinating story, strong narrative and character development.

You slip into the role of Vito Scaletta, an Italian immigrant who becomes involved in the world of organized crime in order to secure a better life for himself and his family. As players progress through the game, they will follow Vito's rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld, getting involved in heists, car chases, and shootouts.

So if you care for a good story, and don't care for top-notch gameplay, Mafia II might be a pick for you.
