The studio behind Redfall, Arkane, recently revealed how poor the frame rate of the game would be on console. It was an honest reminder to lower our expectations, but they were sadly mocked for their announcement.
Redfall is a very weird game, but the concept is a promising one. It's a first-person hero shooter that can be played single-player or co-op. You roam around the town of Redfall, which has been infested by Vampires, and upgrade your character's abilities, unlock new weapons, and generally save the day.
Fans had high expectations for the game, but those expectations have recently been tempered by the studio behind the game themselves.

Redfall FPS On Xbox Revealed
According to a recent announcement from the team behind Redfall, the game will launch with a max frame rate of 30fps. But, they do at least offer this glimmer of hope:
60 FPS Performance mode will be added via game update at a later date.
Some console games have 120fps these days, but Redfall will launch with only 30fps! And (hopefully) 60fps in a post-launch update.
Needless to say, fans were shocked:

We have no idea how long you will need to wait for the 60fps update, but we will update you as soon as we hear anything official.
