Hey, Rockstar... don't you think game companies deciding to push their releases back after the Cyberpunk and CDPR drama should have been a hint for you to do the same? Did you actually think that the internet wouldn't cancel you for an unfinished and buggy game that they didn't think was good enough? Did you learn absolutely nothing?

One thing, they did learn. How to apologize. Guess CDPR has already done a pretty good job, so copy-paste and change a couple of words and BOOM, apology done.

Firstly, we want to sincerely apologize to everyone who has encountered issues playing these games. The Grand Theft Auto series — and the games that make up this iconic trilogy — are as special to us as we know they are to fans around the world. The updated versions of these classic games did not launch in a state that meets our own standards of quality, or the standards our fans have come to expect. We have ongoing plans to address the technical issues and to improve each game going forward. With each planned update, the games will reach the level of quality that they deserve to be.

Rockstar has already launched the first update that is supposed to fix some of the worst issues. Whether that's enough to please the fans is yet to be seen.

I, for one, was supporting all these gaming companies that decided to push the launches of their games back, be it Horizon Forbidden West or Hogwarts Legacy. Cyberpunk 2077 taught all of them a lesson, and I'm grateful for it. But Rockstar really thought they were above that, huh? They really thought that they're too big for it to happen to them. Guess CDPR did so too. It's always the AAA companies...

Either way, this is going to last a month, maybe two, then everyone will have forgotten about this. Maybe Rockstar will finally release info about Red Dead Redemption 3 or GTA VI so that their fans are distracted by this disastrous launch... and let's be real here... it would probably work if they did it.
