Star Wars hype is back in full swing, and Samuel L. Jackson wants in on it: He thinks it's time for Mace Windu to return.
Star Wars is everywhere now: We got a bunch of Star Wars games coming up, we have a new Star Wars show debuting on Disney every half a year or so, and with all of that going on... can you blame good ol' Samuel L. for wanting to get in on the action?
Samuel L. Jackson Wants Mace Windu to Return to Star Wars
In an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Samuel L. Jackson let it be known that he thinks Mace Windu is due a return. If you're familiar with the Star Wars movies, you'll remember that the pruple-wielding Jedi lost a hand and got certifiably be fried, but Jackson doesn't see these as reasons that would stand in the way of a return:
There's a huge history of people with one hand returning in Star Wars.
Well... quite the articulate case there, Mr. Jackson, but he's not wrong: Luke Skywalker was out and about with only one hand, and if anyone can deal... it's Jedis capable of the Force.
So far, Samuel L. Jackson has only made his desires known to Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett director Brryce Dallas Howard:
The only person I've ever said that to about coming back was Bryce Dallas Howard. I just did a movie with her, and she directs episodes of The Mandalorian. So, I go, 'So, you think you might be able to hook a brother up? I mean, you like me, right?' And she's like 'I love you, you're amazing.' So put me back in, I'm ready. Put me in, coach. I'll learn lightsaber left-handed.
Maybe Mace Windu will return in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show and... lend him a hand against the Grand Inquisitor.
