Star Wars Eclipse was officially revealed, and it is a new Star Wars game from Quantic Dreams that looks incredible
A while back we leaked that Quantic Dreams is working on a Star Wars game, and now our leak was proven to be true at the 2021 Game Awards: Star Wars Eclipse is happening, and the game looks incredible. Basically, this is the most exciting Star Wars project since Fallen Order was first revealed, and the fact that it is made by Quantic Dreams, coupled with the epic nature of the trailer, makes me think that this game could compete with the king of Star Wars gaming: Kotor.
But enough talking, watch for yourself:
Star Wars Eclipse Trailer
Told you it looks epic. Unfortunately, we don't have much more than that. We do not have a release date, and we don't really have any word on the story, gameplay, or anything else to sink our teeth into.
What is interesting though, is that this does not seem to be the typical narrative-movie-like Qunatic Dreams experience. This game has less in common with games like Heavy Rain, and seems more like a traditional action epic set in the Star Wars universe. We can't wait to hear more about the game, and here is the official description from the devs themselves:
Set during the High Republic era, Star Wars Eclipse is an intricately branching action-adventure game that can be experienced in many ways, and puts the destinies of multiple playable characters in your hands, created in collaboration between Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm Games.
Hype, hype, hype. I'm certain we will get more news in 2022, but until then... stay thirsty, my friends.
