There’s an undeniable interest in Respawn Entertainment’s sequel to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, as thousands of gamers clamor for their first opportunity at playing this game. But there’s little information available about Cal Kestis’s next journey, and we’re left with more questions than answers. For instance, Respawn Entertainment hasn’t announced an official release date for their upcoming sequel.

EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson announced that Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have continued to invest in the Star Wars Jedi franchise. Therefore, we have confirmation that Cal Kestis will return for another adventure with Greez Dritus and Nightsister Merrin.

Respawn Entertainment ended Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order with the option to continue Cal Kestis’s journey. However, some rumors have indicated that we’ll be getting an entirely new series of characters that have more significant influence over that time.

Technically speaking, this would make sense for Respawn Entertainment. They would be limited in what Cal Kestis could accomplish in the Star Wars universe without affecting the prior canon. But these are pure rumors and haven’t been confirmed on any level yet. There’s a good chance that Cameron Monaghan will reprise his role as Cal Kestis for this upcoming sequel.

Is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Coming Out In 2022?

Respawn Entertainment hasn’t announced their upcoming sequel for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, and this means that development remains in the early stages. As such, nobody should expect this game to launch for another two years. Why might you ask? Because Respawn Entertainment is the developer behind Apex Legends. They are required to update this battle royale, which results in other projects like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor being delayed.

Inside sources have suggested that this upcoming sequel will release in 2023. Most notably, reliable reporter and leaker Jeff Grubb has said, that he heard this to be the expected release date. He also said that he is sure the game will be shown at Star Wars Celebration 2022, which will be held from May 26 to May 29.

[Update: May 13, 2022]

Jeff Grubb has been at it again, revealing more info on the sequel to Jedi Fallen Order. According to Grubb, the game will be called "Jedi Survivor" and will be released either in February or March 2023. Like we said before, he is a very reliable source. So get ready to play Jedi Survivor, the sequel to Jedi Fallen Order, early next year!

Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with details on the storyline or setting for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2. This information has remained private with few employees at Respawn Entertainment, meaning that nobody will know more until this upcoming game is officially announced. But don’t worry, because we will provide updates on everything you need to know about Fallen Order 2. We’d recommend coming back to learn more about the story & game setting. Until then, let’s explore the possible options for this upcoming storyline.

It's rumored that Darth Vader and The Sith Inquisitors will play a massive role in this sequel, as some inside sources have suggested that Cal Kestis is the reason Darth Vader becomes weaker throughout the events of Rogue One and A New Hope. Personally, we think this would provide an exceptional experience that would rival the first game. It would be incredible to know that Cal Kestis helped the Rebel Alliance to defeat Darth Vader.

Everyone still has hopes, that Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts will announce Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 on May 4th. We'll keep you updated in case that happens.

Who And What Is Respawn Entertainment?

Most people would forget that Jason West and Vince Zampella had some extreme issues with Activision. We wouldn’t expect you to remember, but these men were the Lead Directors at Infinity Ward. They created the Call of Duty franchise with some memorable titles like Modern Warfare 2. But this game would become their downfall with Activision, as Vince Zampella and Jason West leveraged their positions at Infinity Ward to maintain greater control of CoD.

These men requested that Activision provide them with larger bonuses and allow them to maintain superior control over the Call of Duty franchise. However, Activision wouldn’t agree to this request unless there was a clause that allowed this franchise to revert to their control. After the agreements were signed, Activision began working towards the termination of Vince Zampella and Jason West.

After several lawsuits followed, everything would be solved out of court, and these men would start an independent studio named Respawn Entertainment. Shortly afterwards, Titanfall was announced and released to the public. But this franchise never amassed the same popularity as Call of Duty.

What did Respawn Entertainment do? They developed Apex Legends to compete against Fortnite. This game would become a massive success and prompted Respawn Entertainment into landing the contract for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.

People would've laughed at you if you had asked anyone in 2009 that Vince Zampella and Jason West would be developing a story-based Star Wars game. But things have changed, and these men have become influential developers throughout the gaming industry.

Vince Zampella and Jason West couldn’t have ever imagined the possibilities for Respawn Entertainment. It’s been nearly thirteen years since they founded this studio, and now it’s become an influential development house with multiple subsidiaries in North America. There isn’t anything that can stop Respawn Entertainment now, which surely bothers Activision.

Is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Getting Released On The PC And Xbox?

This shouldn’t be a question, as Respawn Entertainment will capitalize on the opportunity to launch Star Wars Jedi: Survivor onto all major consoles. This should mean that the Xbox Series X/S and PC are supported, with additional support for the PlayStation 5.

Now, there’s the possibility that Electronic Arts could be bought-out by Microsoft before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is released. This upcoming sequel would become an exclusive for the Xbox Series X/S and PC if that were to happen. But the potential of Microsoft acquiring Electronic Arts is purely speculative and based on industry rumors. EA may want to remain an independent corporation, regardless of how much Microsoft offers.

We’d reckon that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch onto the PS5, PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. However, there won’t be an official account on which platforms are supported for this game until Respawn Entertainment makes an announcement.

Is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Part Of The Game Pass On Xbox?

It’s almost guaranteed that Electronic Arts will launch Star Wars Jedi: Survivor onto the Xbox Game Pass. However, years will pass before anyone has the opportunity to download this game for free. You can be ensured that EA’s investors will want to maximize the profits for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

However, we think that updated GPUs and CPUs will be required for Jedi: Survivor. Let’s hope the cost isn’t too expensive to upgrade.
