Starfield is one of the most anticipated games of 2023 and it was already delayed several times. Many gamers can hardly wait for the release of Bethesda's new game, and we already learned in the news about the Xbox Games Showcase that there will be an extra, separate show just for Starfield. So we can expect new information and more gameplay material very soon. However, the release of Starfield seems to be delayed again...

Starfield Delayed Again

According to YouTuber MrMattyPlays the release of Starfield might be pushed back into the second half of 2023. In the latest episode of the Defining Duke podcast he said:

Starfield is getting a possible bump out of the first half because it's currently undated [...]

However, he also added, that the delay should not be significant. Starfield should still be released this summer, but possibly be delayed out of the first half of 2023.

The YouTuber obviously doesn't reveal his source, but says that he trusts the person and so far nothing from this source has been wrong.

The news about the latest delay are obviously only rumors at this point, so you should take it with a grain of salt. However, we wouldn't be surprised since Starfield is the biggest Xbox exclusive in a really long time, so Microsoft wants to make sure the release is not a disaster like Cyberpunk 2077. So, even though Bethesda is still claiming that "Starfield will release exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023", it would come as no surprise if the release would be revealed for the second half of 2023 in the upcoming Starfield showcase.
