Steam Awards 2022 – These Are The Winners

The Steam Awards have been around for several years now. Every year, fans can determine their favorite games in 11 different categories such as "GAME OF THE YEAR", "MOST INNOVATIVE GAMEPLAY" or "OUTSTANDING STORY-RICH GAME". Let's not beat around the bush any longer. Here are the winners:

GAME OF THE YEAR – Elden Ring

As many of you have probably guessed, Elden Ring has made it to the top of the list of new game releases in 2022. The game not only stands out with its breathtaking story but also for its incredible and addictive gameplay, like nothing we've ever experienced before, probably. A well-deserved first place! If you want to get it, now is the time because it is currently on sale with a 30% discount on Steam.

VR GAME OF THE YEAR – Hitman 3

Hitman 3 is the latest game of the amazing trilogy and the first to make it to VR. An amazing virtual experience and a great game.

LABOR OF LOVE – Cyberpunk 2077

A game that will last in people's hearts forever. Cyberpunk 2077 originally came out two years ago but is still a great success to this day. Now that the PS5 version is out, players can experience this masterpiece once more.

BETTER WITH FRIENDS – Raft

Guys, we all love a good co-op game, and Raft really was a hit last year! I played it with my friends and we were obsessed with it. It's really the perfect mix of fun gameplay with your best friends and survival combat.

OUTSTANDING VISUAL STYLE – Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Spider-Man games have a history of having a great visual atmosphere, and Spider-Man: Miles Morales really is stunning. An outstanding visual masterpiece for an amazing spider.

MOST INNOVATIVE GAMEPLAY – Stray

Stray seriously owns this award. It was one of the most inventive and unique games last year.

BEST GAME YOU SUCK AT – Elden Ring

This category is really special, and of course it has to belong to Elden Ring! Honestly, I've never seen so many players struggle so much with one title. Elden Ring is incredibly challenging, but its great game design and gameplay make it worth every single drop of sweat you might shed along the way.

BEST SOUNDTRACK – Final Fantasy VII

There could have been no better pick for this category. The music of Final Fantasy VII has stuck with me forever and the remake has absolutely done justice to the original.

OUTSTANDING STORY-RICH GAME – God of War

God of War has one of the most heartbreaking and relatable storylines of all time. The reboot from 2018 and its recently published sequel God of War: Ragnarök are definetly worth every minute of your time.

SIT BACK AND RELAX – LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga

This game will lead you through all nine Skywalker saga movies. And surprisingly, you don't notice much of the stress and hustle while playing, because this game is incredibly fun, but also very relaxing and perfect if you just want to hang out and enjoy the game.

BEST GAME ON THE GO – Death Stranding Director's Cut

A fantastic game that you can take with you wherever you go on your Steam Deck. Amazing!
