The Suicide Squad game has been delayed into 2023. Production issues? Read on to find out.
Rocksteady has delayed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This was leaked ahead of official confirmation, but now we can say it with certainty. Of course, we shouldn't be surprised, Rocksteady is owned by Warner Bros who had to delay many games lately: Harry Potter, Batman and LEGO Star Wars were all pushed out of their 2021 releases.
Rocksteady Delays Suicide Squad Game
This delay, unfortunately, is quite a big one: The game's delayed all the way into 2023. This is not ideal for Rocksteady, who probably wanted to cash in on the current hype of DC movies, and somewhat still ride the wave of the last Suicide Squad movie.
We've made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience. pic.twitter.com/VOSwTM6Zak

It's now quite likely that they'll wait for the next big DC project or the next Suicide Squad movie to drop, until they release the game. Lucky for them, with a title like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, any DC movie will do and create hype for the game.
If you're not familiar: The Suicide Squad is a gang of anti-heroes, all of them being severe criminals on death row. Rather than wasting their talents though, they are being used to fight evils across the world, with a bomb in their mind putting an end to their lives if they refuse. Since every mission they go on is pretty much a suicide mission, they are aptly called... the Suicide Squad. There you go. Storytime's over. Now go and sob that the game was delayed.
