The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an iconic franchise that hasn't received a next gen gaming adaptation. This might just change soon, with an AAA action-rpg reportedly being in development.

New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Game Inspired By RPGs Like God Of War

In an interview with Polygon, Doug Rosen, senior vice president for games and emerging media at Paramount Global, talked about the upcoming adaptation of the popular graphic novel, The Last Ronin.

The novel is set in a future where all of the turtles died. All but one, that is. The story has a darker tone, adding a little mystery with the readers being unaware, which of the turtles survived.

Just like the novel, the game will be targeting a more mature audience and will be developed by an unnamed studio.
