Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom In Early Development
Since Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to BotW and therefore takes place in (more or less) the same world, Nintendo didn't have to start from scratch, when creating this new title. It is only logical for Nintendo to make use of this vast open world map and experiment a bit with what is already available. By using Breath of the Wild as some sort of sandbox, Nintendo came up with new features for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
In Nintendo's latest interview regarding Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the developers talked about the different stages of creating their new title and also released some early development footage, that shows vehicles entirely made out of Breath of the Wild's Sheika tech.
By the way, the same interview also revealed that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will have huge dungeons with individual characteristics as we know them from classic Zelda games.

Before creating the game assets for Zonai devices, Nintendo was building vehicles for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that are entirely made out of Sheika tech that is to be found in BotW shrines. The footage shows a car that is made out of a big stone plate and four Sheika gears, that used to be part of a shrine puzzle. They even added some sort of canon to the front of the car, which is triggered by sheika bombs.
It is quite fascinating to see, how Nintendo managed to create something new and awesome in Breath of the Wild by repurposing existing game assets. They took what they already had, played around with it, and came up with a totally new game feature. It just shows how creative and resourceful they are as game developers.
I am 100% sure, that this game is going to captivate us all, and become an even greater success than breath of the Wild.
