A lot of you might know The Walking Dead, a famous TV Show based around zombies. Was everywhere, is still watched to this day, people love it. It'll get an own game. With a little twist…
Fans of The Walking Dead are in for a surprise. The trailer came out today, and fans can now jump back into the story and the world of zombies they love so much.
The Walking Dead Destinies: “What If” Meets The Popular Zombie Series
The trailer was first shown on YouTube by IGN. The Walking Dead Destinies is an action and adventure game where your choices change the story. It's connected to the first four seasons of the TV show, but the way you play can lead to different outcomes that didn't happen on the show.
You can relive the best moments from the show and also change what happens by making choices in the game. The trailer shows familiar places and characters like Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon.
It's all about fighting against the zombies, called “walkers.” Even though the trailer is short, it gives a quick look at a part where you get to choose what happens. They really want you to know that your choices matter, and the trailer ends by saying “you get to choose.”This game is special because it lets you change the story. This reminds some people of a Marvel show called “What If?” where they show different versions of stories. If you loved the show on TV, you might be happy because you can make the characters have better endings in the game.
But it all depends on what you decide when you play. The game is being made by Flux Games and GameMill Entertainment, the same people who made other games like Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout.Even though it's a surprise, The Walking Dead Destinies looks like it's going to be really good. People are saying it's like another game called Telltale Games, which was also about zombies and choices. Lots of people loved that game, calling it one of the best zombie and choose-your-own-adventure games ever.
The Walking Dead Destinies will be developed for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
If The Walking Dead Destinies wants to be as good as that game, it needs to do what it promised – give us lots of different ways to play and make the story interesting. What's cool is that this game is focusing on the story from the TV show instead of the comics. This makes The Walking Dead Destinies different, but we'll have to wait to see if it becomes a favorite game or gets lost among other games.
