V Rising is essentially a top-down-RPG, a Hack&Slay game like Diablo. The unique twists are its survival and crafting mechanics. And of course, like any game with these types of mechanics, there is item durability. If you use your gear and equipment in V Rising too much, it will eventually break. So you need to know how to repair your gear in V Rising. In this guide, we will show you how to do exactly that.

Crafting new equipment is extremely important in V Rising, as you often get the best possible gear in V Rising only by making it yourself. As you progress through the game, you will get increasingly better blueprints for new gear for your hero in V Rising.

Maintaining that gear is usually cheaper than crafting it new, so it's important that you pay attention to the durability of your items in V Rising and repair them before they break.

How To Repair Items in V Rising

Thankfully, repairing your gear in V Rising is pretty simple. You just gotta know what to do. If one of your pieces of equipment is about to break, a yellow symbol will pop up at the bottom of the screen. That means, if your equipped boots are close to breaking, yellow boots will appear just above your health pool. That should make it obvious enough for you, to know when you need to repair an item.

Otherwise, you can go into your inventory and check your equipment manually. Hovering over an item will show you its durability, and what you would need to repair that item.

If you want to repair a piece of gear in V Rising, you just have to follow these steps:

  • Open your inventory by pressing TAB
  • Hover your cursor over the item that you want to repair
  • Make sure you have enough resources to repair your piece of gear
  • Press the middle mouse wheel button

And that's it! The important thing is to keep your resources in check. If you want to repair your item, you will usually need half of the resources that you needed to craft that item. That means, if you need 10 copper to craft your axe, you will need 5 copper to repair it. Easy, right?

One last tip: don't go around repairing every piece of item. That's why we had that whole paragraph about getting better items throughout the game. Once you have a special item with specific abilities or just a really good bit of leather craftsmanship, then go ahead and repair it. Otherwise, save up your resources and get something new instead.
