The rumors have been around forever, but now an insider claims to be able to confirm: The Zelda classics are coming to the Nintendo Switch.
For the longest time now, we've been telling you that Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are coming to the Nintendo Switch. Then.... that didn't happen and we tried to focus your attention on Breath of the Wild 2.
But since we're at the whime of the world's leakers, here we are again, proclaiming that the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are coming. Why the newfound confidence? Because of Jeff Grubb.
They want to have a Zelda game every year, and they have been holding onto [Wind Waker and Twilight Princess], why wouldn’t they just put it out this year. And if they don’t put this out or some other Zelda thing this year, instead of just waiting for Breath of the Wild 2, I just will not understand.
I think that this game [Wind Waker and Twilight Princess bundle], as much as it was a joke in the Megabit 64 video, I do believe it actually comes out in October. I suppose Zelda could come out in September maybe, but they already got some games in September so October still sounds right to me.
Of course, that's a big if, so fingers crossed that Jeff Grubb is on the money with this one. Of course, there have also been rumors of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask coming to the Nintendo Switch, so... it seems fairly certain one of the Zelda classics will make the jump.
The real question is whether or not the games will be remasters or just carbon-copy ports. Knowing how lazy Nintendo can get, and how much they love to just re-release the game, I'm willing to bet that this will be a Wind Waker/Twilight Princess port with no changes whatsoever. Is that a good thing? I don't know... personally, I like a good remaster, because I could always just play the old games on the old systems...
