The official The Witcher 3 Twitter account has just announced the final release date of its next-gen remaster. It is very soon, and very exciting, and a clear sign that CD Projekt Red is attempting to return themselves to the glory days after the disaster that was Cyberpunk 2077.

In the end, whether or not you are still burnt by their 2020 blunders, you have to admit to the quality and excellence of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . This fantastic video game stands as one of the best of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation. In fact, it still stands up against some of the best of the current video game generation as well.

It is incredibly exciting to think that we will be able to embark on Geralt's journey once again. What this remaster will entail is still unknown, though. Whether we are seeing a full remake or a standard remaster and up-res is uncertain, though we expect the latter over the former. Either way, it's time to get hyped!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen Release Date Revealed

Developers have just confirmed, that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen Update is set to release on December 14. Finally getting a remastered version of this brilliant game is a big deal for any Witcher fan. The shame of it all, though, is that there is still no word regarding whether we will get remasters of the other games as well.

Originally, the release was confirmed in a new "strategy update" which CD Projekt released on October 4. This included amazing announcements like a Cyberpunk sequel and new Witcher titles.

The cool thing about the original Witcher trilogy is that it acted in much the same way as the original Mass Effect trilogy, which got remastered only last year. What I mean, of course, is that you could import your Witcher save files into each of the games so that your progress continues throughout each experience.

This feature was missing from the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the original game, seeing as The Witcher 2 and The Witcher were not actually available on those consoles. We hope that, if we don't get remasters of those original games, we will at least get a way to simulate the choices you have taken previously.

So there you have it, the official release date has been revealed for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, and we can expect to see it on December 14th. This is incredibly exciting, and we do hope to have it in our hands before we take a long and well-deserved break come Christmastime.
