Insomniac Games have found a narrative director for their upcoming Wolverine game.
Insomniac Games kind of have the patent on superhero games these days. The Spiderman games are the standard for the genre, and their upcoming Wolverine game is easily the most anticipated superhero game right now. Outside of the game's first reveal, there hasn't been much noise about it. Until now.
Wolverine Game Found Its Writer
I'm too old and tired to figure out how to do a bio change video, but this happened today so that's fun. pic.twitter.com/9ydrZoXm6Y

Ok technically, the game found its Narrative Director, but that was too long for the headline. If you don't know who Walt Williams is, he was previously in charge of the narrative for Spec Ops: The Line, Star Wars: Squadrons, Battlefield 2, and Significant Yero.
Spec Ops: The Line actually won a bunch of awards for its narrative, and how it dealt with the horrors of war. Given that Wolverine is quite the violent character, struggling with his borderline immortality and the lives he's vanquished... this bodes well for the game. Unless you're looking for a go-happy experience like Spiderman, in which case Walt Williams is your worst nightmare.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of this, and this just makes me look forward to the game even more. Wolverine had its best outing in Logan, simply because the movie didn't have to hold back any punches. An r-rated Wolverine game is just what we need, and it seems like we will get it.
