Disney announced they're working on a brand-new Star Wars movie and also awkwardly unveiled a second season of their hit series Ahsoka.
Ahsoka was one of the best Disney+ series. It had viewers engaged and was a lot of fun, bringing in Star Wars fans of all ages. That the series would be getting a season 2 was never in doubt, but up until now it also was never officially confirmed.
Well, now with the announcement of a new Mandalorian film, Disney also snuck in a quick announcement that Ahsoka Season 2 was in the works.
Ahsoka Season 2 In Development
So far, we don't know much. In the press release regarding the upcoming film "The Mandalorain and Grogu", Disney snuck in a single reference to their Disney+ series Ahsoka, stating that along with this movie, there are more Lucasfilm project currently in the pipeline.
One of those projects is nothing less than Ahsoka Season 2. The second season is currently being developed by Dave Filoni, who has already hinted at a second season of the show in a Vanity Fair profile, where it was stated that he was exploring a second season of the series.
Overall, this is great news for Star Wars fans. Ahsoka is a great show and a wonderful character so getting to see more of her and her adventures is going to be great – and if you want more then make sure to check out the Clone Wars .
Unfortunately, there isn't much more information out there on the second season, like when it will be released, but there is surely going to be more coming very soon from Disney and Lucasfilm to get us all hyped.
