After half a dozen delays, Skull & Bones is set to finally launch in February 2024 according to a reliable insider.
Ahoi captain, island on the horizon! I’m pretty sure that no one at Ubisoft ever said anything even close to this while developing Skull & Bones, their cursed game about pirate ships and treasure hunting. But now would be a good occasion as the game finally seems to have a set release date.
Skull & Bones Release Date Leaked
According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, Skull & Bones is set to release on February 16, 2024. The report states that the game will also get a Premium version with early access, so that buyers of that edition can start their pirate adventures three days earlier on February 13. What else is part of the edition, is unclear yet.
What the report also can’t reveal, is when the Skull & Bones release date will be officially unveiled. However, Insider Gaming’s sources seem to suggest that an announcement at The Game Awards on December 7 seems very likely.
Skull & Bones was announced during E3 in June 2017. Yes, E3 died between announcement and release of Skull & Bones. The game was initially scheduled for a 2018 release to capitalize on the hype and success surrounding Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out.
After a whopping six delays, the game now could finally land on our shores in February 2024. The standard edition of Skull & Bones is currently available to pre-order for $59.99. The price of the premium edition is unknown.
