Players just want Riot to bring back this old school game mode.
Riot has had great success with the Arena game mode, as well as other fun ways to play League of Legends, but there is one mode that was removed ages ago and hasn't returned since.
While there is a shift in the way the League of Legends team is looking at the game and focusing more on new game modes, bringing back older ones that have been popular in the past could also be beneficial, especially for nostalgia's sake.
LoL Players Want Twisted Treeline Back
Twisted Treeline was removed back in 2019 from the game. This removal was part of Riot Games' decision to focus on the more popular maps and modes, as Twisted Treeline had a significantly smaller player base compared to Summoner's Rift.
Several game modes in "League of Legends" that have been removed include Dominion, Twisted Treeline, and various temporary modes like Ascension. These modes were often available for limited periods or special events.
Now, 5-years after the modes' removal, players are still begging Riot to bring it back, even if just as a rotating game mode of some sort. With Arena, Riot have shown they're capable of adding in new maps for rotating game modes, so bringing back Twisted Treeline should be feasible.
Players on Reddit expressed their wishes for the mode to return at some point, though the community does not seem hopeful, especially since Twisted Treeline would require a lot of balance separate from Summoner's Rift, which the balance team doesn't have time for.

Bringing back Twisted Treeline would be a great idea, even just as a rotating short-term game mode. Older players would definitely flock back to League of Legends for nostalgia’s sake, which could revitalize the game as a whole. Just look at Fortnite and the glow up the game had thanks to the OG Fortnite comeback last year.
But it is still highly unlikely that Twisted Treeline could return this year. It was already a hard enough fight for Nexus Blitz to come back, and when it was back in the client, the outcome wasn't what most had hoped. So, we're going to have to look forward to some URF and Ultimate Spellbook this year most likely.
