MultiVersus has a crazy mix of content and characters from all kinds of different franchises. DC superheroes, Looney Tunes characters and even Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. After a round of leaks, fans expected another iconic fantasy franchise to join the action: Lord of the Rings. A lot of things pointed to a possible inclusion of content from the beloved series, including Gandalf as a playable character. A reliable leaker has now cast doubt on these hopes, though.

LOTR Content Might Not Come To MultiVersus After All

The reliable MultiVersus leaker and dataminer with the wonderful name Multiversusie has revealed intriguing details regarding Lord of the Rings content coming to MultiVersus. They revealed on Twitter, that "LOTR stuff for Multiversus *MIGHT* have been cut". They explain how within the files of MultiVersus, multiple references to Lord of the Rings have been removed, like multiple track and a trophy titled "Eye of the Sauron".

Susie was one of the people who leaked info on MultiVersus before, including a list of upcoming MultiVersus characters which had the iconic greybeard Gandalf on it. Everyone was looking forward to seeing the madness of that, but now Susie insinuates that it might not happen after all.

We will have to wait and see, if Gandalf and other LOTR content comes to MultiVersus. The aforementioned list had Black Adam and Stripe on it, who have now been confirmed for the game. So the leak seems legit, and Gandalf might still come to the game. But plans change during development, especially with a license nightmare like MultiVersus. So like I said... wait and see. And in the meantime, you can check out the upcoming Lord of the Rings show on Amazon.
