Nexus Blitz went live with LoL Patch 13.21 and while the initial hype was there, a lot of players are unhappy with the balance of the game mode and how the mini-games are scripted.
Nexus Blitz is back in League of Legends. Players had to wait for more than two years, but it's finally added back in LoL Patch 13.21, but it seems that it isn't running as smoothly as most had hoped.
Some players have taken to social media to voice their frustration with Nexus Blitz, calling the event "unfun and unbalaned" after a few of the mini-games seemed rather skewed in one teams' favor each and every time.
Nexus Blitz: Players Believe Game Mode Needs More Maintenance
Nexus Blitz is not fair. That is a sentiment a lot of players seem to share as the first week of Nexuz Blitz' return is coming to an end. Throughout the game there are some mini-games which teams need to complete, but it seems that some of the events are geared towards one team winning over the other.
Players have complained about the ring of fire ending up in the top jungle of the enemy team in the early games, causing teams to have to fight off their enemy champions, as well as a giant gargoyle, protector of the forest, while also not burning to death in a giant circle of fire.

Not only that, but the loot Teemo also doesn't seem to want to leave the enemy team's side of the jungle, giving them an easy win. On the other hand, one Soraka is super careful, while another Soraka during the 'protect the Soraka game' seems to be your Iron III teammate wanting to int every engage.
These types of issues with the game mode have some players frustrated and feel like either winning or losing isn't satisfactory since the game mode just seems rigged from the get-go.
For neither of the teams does it feel good winning or losing the event, it feels stupidly cheap and takes all of the “for fun” feeling out of the mode to the point of everyone picking their champs based on how good they would be on the first event.
Other players have also voiced their frustration with the rewards for the in-game events, with some fighting to win them, only to receive mediocre buffs, while the enemy team wins one and gains an early Ocean Soul which can be a huge buff for teams.
With the League of Legends modes team working on Arena for most of the year and wanting to push out Nexus Blitz quickly, since it was promised a long time ago, some of the balance problems could come from the team not having enough time to smooth out some issues within Nexus Blitz.
There were already some champion-specific fixes that went live with LoL Patch 13.21, so we expect some more balance changes to also hit Nexus Blitz in LoL Patch 13.22.
