Silent Hill is an iconic game series, with multiple great titles and even movies having been made after the release. We all remember the iconic teaser for Hideo Kojima's Silent Hills, right? PT was a playable trailer that had people all over shook with how intense and frightening it was.

Unfortunately, the game never saw the light of day and the playable trailer is also lost after having been removed from all online platforms... with the last actual game in the series having been released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 – probably before a lot of you reading this were born even – Konami had promised that new games would be coming.

In 2022 Konami confirmed that there would be multiple new Silent Hill games coming. One of those is a remake of Silent Hill 2, as well as Silent Hill: Townfall. The latter even had a small cryptic teaser released, which had some fans hopeful, but since then there has been nothing but ratio silence on the matter.

Throughout all of 2023, there have been no announcements, no news and no teasers regarding the game, which had many fans worried that it had been put on ice and killed off silently.

Now the developers of the game, No Code, have sent out some tweets, which confirm that the game is still alive and that there will be more news coming in 2024. In a Twitter thread they wrote that there are new hires who joined in 2023 to "craft a nightmare" and that it's "bigger than [they] thought".

While there was no news in 2023, there should be more "signals" in 2024. So, hopefully we get a real trailer and some news on the story and characters... but it doesn't seem like a 2024 release is likely for Silent Hill: Townfall.
