WoW Classic HC is a special version of WoW Classic, and WoW Classic HC Self-Found will basically be a special version of WoW Classic HC. Still, every character death will be permanent. But in addition, the following restrictions will be added:

  • You cannot trade with other players
  • You cannot use your inbox
  • You cannot use the Auction House

According to what Blizzard said at Blizzcon, these restrictions will be removed once you're at max level, which is usually level 60.

It remains unclear whether Blizzard will limit group play as well. As soon as there is any word from Blizzard on this, you will read it here.

Blizzard plans to release the Self-Found Mode in February 2024. An exact release date has not been announced yet; Blizzard will probably choose a date that doesn't coincide with content releases of other WoW versions like Season of Discovery or Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
