In LEGO Fortnite, there are tons of animals that provide you with resources. We'll show you how to tame and capture them.
In the colorful world of LEGO Fortnite, players can expect not only exciting building adventures but also a variety of fascinating animals that drop important resources, needed for cooking recipes and other items.
Having a farm is useful to avoid constantly searching for these animals. Therefore, in this article, we show you the easiest way to tame and capture animals in LEGO Fortnite.
How to Tame Animals In LEGO Fortnite
As mentioned, each friendly animal provides unique resources such as food and wool. They also occasionally produce fertilizer, which you need to establish a farm since a farm field costs 2x Soil and 1x Fertilizer.
Animals can now be fully tamed - almost as easily as in Minecraft. This is done with food and a little patience. For your efforts, you will be rewarded with resources over time.
- Chickens give you Feathers
- Cows give you Milk
- Sheep give you Wool
- Pigs give you Mushrooms
- All animals give you Fertilizer
To tame or initially catch them, follow these steps:
- Build a new Animal House - you can only keep one animal per house.
- Find an animal you want to catch.
- Pet the animal and feed it with the new Animal Treat, when the option appears. Hold the Animal Treat in your hand (You get the recipe for Animal Treat when you build an Animal House).
- The animal will follow you now.
LEGO Fortnite: Leading Animals Home
Once the animal is following you, be sure to avoid any combat or heated situations, or your animal might run away. In narrow spots, you can even pull it with a fishing rod. If your animal gets injured, you can feed it to heal it.
Once you have arrived, you can assign your new animal friend to an Animal House and name it with a template. Simply interact with an Animal House to do so. But your task isn't done yet!
Proper Animal Care Will Prevent Your Pets From Running Away
Your animal needs to stay happy! You can achieve this by feeding, petting, or dancing next to it and showing off your coolest emotes. Objects that the animal can interact with are always helpful as well. If you don’t have time for care, we advise assigning a villager to do so. If your animal feels lonely and ignored, it will soon leave your village.
Animal breeding in LEGO Fortnite is not yet possible, but it is quite possible that this feature will be introduced in a future update.
