Overwatch 2: How To Get Jade Weapons

With the release of the newest patch for Overwatch 2 for Season 9, we got tons of adjustments, including some changes for the ranked system, more health for our heroes, really concerning changes regarding hitboxes, but also some new cosmetics.

Therefore, there are not just some cool new skins, we also finally received a new weapon skin! For a long time now, since the release of Overwatch in 2016, gold weapons were the only obtainable skin for your guns, staffs, gloves or colored finger nails – looking at you Moira. This changed now with the introduction of jade weapons. We'll tell you how to get them!

Overwatch 2: This Is How You Get The New Jade Weapon Skins

It's really not that hard to get the jade weapon skins. Below, we'll show you a step-by-step tutorial:

1. Start Overwatch 2 (obviously)
2. Click on the "Hero Gallery" option on your Main Menu
3. Navigate to the Hero you want to get a jade weapon for
4. Find the "Weapon Variants" option and click on it
5. Now you can see all obtainable weapon skins, choose "Jade Weapon" (purchasable for 3,000 competitive points)
6. Confirm the purchase and you're done!

The only hard part about all of this is to get 3,000 competitive points.

Overwatch 2: How To Get Competitive Points

Competitive points are a currency only obtainable in, well, competitive play. For each win in a ranked game, you're gonna receive 25 CP (competitive points).

This might be a pretty long grind, you may think. But hold up! By finishing a season, you will also be rewarded with a certain amount of CP, depending on your highest rank you reached in this season. Check this out:

• Top 500: 1,500 CP
• Grand Master: 1,500 CP
• Master: 1,200 CP
• Diamond: 1,000 CP
• Platinum: 800 CP
• Gold: 600 CP
• Silver: 450 CP
• Bronze: 300 CP

With the new rank "Champion", you might be able to obtain 1,500 CP as well. The Champion rank is placed above Grand Master.
