You like sci-fi and space? You like thriller shows? Then Constellation on Apple TV+ might just be the thing for you. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming new show, including the release date, cast, the dope trailer and even more.
Apple TV+ kills it with new high quality shows in 2024: Masters of the Air, The New Look and now Constellation? Yeah, that subscription really pays off. In February, we'll head off into space – up there, it's just as catastrophic as the chaos on Earth though, if not worse.
Astronaut Jo has returned to Earth after a space mission that didn't go as planned and ended in a disaster, just to find out that being back home is just as bad. She realizes that parts of her life are missing and key pieces are changed. In Constellation, Jo needs to solve the mystery of all the changes, with Apple TV+ promising to deliver an "action-packed space adventure" and an "exploration of the dark edges of human psychology."
Constellation on Apple TV+ | Release Date & Trailer
How can you not be hyped for a space-adventure filled with mystery and, I dare say so, some horror elements? Luckily, viewers won't have to wait much longer: Constellation is set to premiere on February 21, 2024.
To kick off, Apple releases three episodes back-to-back. After that, we'll get weekly releases each Wednesday. The show will have eight episodes, meaning Constellation runs until March 27, 2024.
Constellation on Apple TV+ | Cast & Crew
Constellation will star an amazing cast that's honestly enough reason to look forward to the new show. Noomi Rapace plays Jo, the astronaut who's whole life is a mess after the catastrophic space mission.
She's joined by Jonathan Banks and James D'Arcy. The supporting cast further consists of Clare-Hope Ashitey, German actors Michel Diercks and Barbara Sukowa, William Catlett, Julian Looman and Sandra Teles.
Jo's daughter Alice is portrayed by both Rosie and Davina Coleman – twin sisters, making their debut in The Larkins back in 2021.
Having a twin can be the holy grail for child actors. Because of child labor laws, child actors are forbidden from working more than a few hours – good for kids, bad for production companies. Casting twins is an easy workaround to get more filming done in a day. One is done for today? Get the other one out! It also gives twin child actors the opportunity to book more roles for the same reason, because productions will happily work with them.
Behind the scenes, Michelle MacLaren is back at it again: probably best known for her work on Breaking Bad, she also now works on Constellation as exec producer. Peter Harness wrote the show.
Details about the plot are being kept under tight wraps, but going off the trailer, Constellation might be another big hit for Apple TV+. Mark your calendars for February 21!
